Eight Day Munich to Vienna with Passion Play Travel Tour

EIGHT DAY TOUR

Day 1 - TUESDAY

Departure on your way to Munich.

Day 2 - WEDNESDAY
Munich
Arrive Munich, Wednesday You will be met and transferred to your hotel. Time to relax before meeting your fellow travelers and your Tour Director at the welcome dinner.
Overnight in Munich - including welcome dinner.

Day 3 – THURSDAY
Munich
After breakfast, take a morning city tour of downtown Munich, featuring the Koenigsplatz, old and new Pinakothek, the Isartor (city gate), the royal palace, the angel of freedom and Odeonsplatz. View also the Olympic park, site of the 1972 summer Olympics and which, today, has become an attractive sports and leisure center. The platform on the Olympic tower provides a superior view over the city of Munich. Enjoy a scenic drive through the city where you’ll see such sights as the baroque Nymphenburg palace, the former summer residence of the Wittlesbach dynasty, and the Marienplatz with its famous glockenspiel clock. Enjoy remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 4 - FRIDAY
Travel to Oberammergau
Travel by motor coach to Oberammergau. The Passion Play begins at 2:30 pm. You will be served dinner during the 3-hour interval in a restaurant in Oberammergau. At the end of the play, at around 10.30 pm, transfer to your hotel.
Overnight in Oberammergau – including breakfast and special dinner.

Day 5 – SATURDAY
Salzburg / Vienna
After breakfast we leave Germany behind, as we head to Austrian capital. On the way stop in Salzburg, for a short panoramic sightseeing tour that shows us the Getriedergasse with its colorful shops, the majestic Cathedral, as well as the birthplace of the great composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In the afternoon drive along the Valley of the River Danube, past Melk to Vienna, the city of waltz. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6 – SUNDAY
Vienna
On a morning sightseeing tour, visit the Hofburg Palace, once the home of the Habsberg emperors, and view the Belvedere Palace, Prater Amusement Park, the UN Buildings, St. Stephen's Cathedral and other reminders of the city's imperial past. The afternoon is at leisure to discover more of Vienna at your own pace.

Day 7 - MONDAY
Enjoy free day in Vienna later in the day transfer to Vienna International airport according to your flight schedule
After Breakfast, and by 12 noon, Check out from your hotel and store your luggage at the hotel storage room to enjoy free day (depending on your flight schedule) in Vienna.

Transfer from the lobby of your hotel to Vienna International Airport 4 hours Prior to flight departure.

Day 8

If your flight departs in the morning you will arrive back in America the same day of your departure.

If your flight departs in the night you will arrive back to America the following day of your departure.
